Etna Gospel Group Concert: The Etna Gospel Group is hosting a special Summer Gospel Mini-Concert on Tuesday July 20th at 7 PM in the Hanover Center church. The acoustics there are amazing and the setting on a summer evening will be lovely. The mini-concert is celebrating the poetry of Kim Laustsen, who has collaborated with several of our church members in composing a number of songs that have been shared at our worship services in recent years. All are welcome to come listen--it will be less than an hour and filled with joy. Weather permitting, there will be light refreshments on the lawn following the concert to meet and toast Kim, who is visiting us for this special evening from Bend, Oregon. For questions, please contact Marjorie Rose.
Band concert: Our next outreach event will be our annual UPPER VALLEY COMMUNITY BAND CONCERT, ON THE ETNA GREEN on Saturday July 24, 2021 at 6:30PM. COME ENJOY THE MUSIC, FELLOWSHIP, AND PIE & ICE CREAM. If you would like to bake a pie(s) please sign up at the Sunday morning worship service on July 18, or call Norma Pelton. Please tell your friends!
Etna Missions Committee - From Wycliffe Bible Translators: “Did you know the Bible wasn’t always in English? It’s easy to forget that people like you and I haven’t always been able to read God’s Word. Back in the 14th century, John Wycliffe decided that he didn’t want to have to learn about God only through his priest; he wanted to learn for himself! So John Wycliffe translated the Bible into English, believing that every man, woman and child should be able to read God’s Word for themselves. As you read about John Wycliffe, remember to pray for other languages around the world (at least 2,000 of them!) that are still waiting for a Bible translation to begin.”

Also, as a reminder, we’ll hear an update on the Rise Again ministry during a Moment for Missions on 25 July.
Hanover Center – dehumidified! At last Sunday’s service, Pastor Chris passed along his thanks and appreciation to Jeff Balch and the trustees at the Hanover Center Church for acquiring dehumidifiers to reduce the humidity in the church during the warm, damp summer months!
