We are still meeting, praying and worshiping together! Pastor Spinney will host a live Bible reading/prayer worship service via ZOOM on Sundays at 10 AM and Wednesdays at 9 AM. See instructions below:
Sunday Worship services with Pastor Roger 10 AM
Time: Every week on Sunday for the foreseeable future. Instructions on how to connect to our ZOOM services have been emailed to the congregation--you can sign up for emails by sending an email to the church secretary: firstname.lastname@example.org (note in-person outside option for September Sunday services)

Wednesday morning “coffee and donuts” with the pastor (9 AM)
(BYO coffee and/or a donut, etc.) via ZOOM. The ZOOM instructions with links and password are sent in the weekly church email. An informal prayer and conversation with Pastor Roger.

The Inter-church Council and Pastor Spinney have been stuccesfully conductiing a hybrid service including an option for in-person outside worship at the same time as the regular ZOOM service as long as weather permits through end-September at the Etna church lawn--rain or shine.
The safety protocol requires:
--folks bring their own chairs and umbrellas.--or stay in car.
--social distancing (6 foot minimum between families) and masks are required.
--no access to indoor Etna facilities (in case of rain stay in cars or under umbrellas)
There will be a combination of live and recorded music for both the in-person and zoom attendees.
We will will continue with our normal access to the ZOOM worship services with the church zoom account which includes toll free dialing. Instructions were sent in a letter posted June 18 and are sent regularly by the church weekly emails.
NOTE: YOU MAY NEED THE PASSWORD IN ADDITION TO THE LINK or toll-free number! Note: you don't need a computer to join zoom by phone! Email or call the church or Pastor Roger if you need access info for the ZOOM!

Weekly announcements and upcoming events:
**VIRTUAL BIBLE STUDY will start in early October on Saturday mornings at 9AM by zoom. The bulletins have more info. Let Pastor Roger know about your ideas for a new topic.
*Choir Rehearsals: Choir rehearsals will begin again on Thursday, September 24th, 7-8 pm via Zoom. Christine Hoskin will be sending out the Zoom link, recordings of music, and instructions to choir members for their participation. If anyone would like to join the choir, please contact Christine (email@example.com). All are welcome.
*Missions Committee: We currently support nine ministries and are working on scheduling very brief virtual visits by video or Zoom with some of these ministries during Sunday services in October--Missions Month. On 4 October, is an impressive video from Cru Military. Thanks for exceptionally generous support for the water filtration project in the Dominican Republic. Suggestions for ministries to support are always welcome.
HANOVER CENTER WOMEN"S FELLOWSHIP:
****Chicken Pie Supper - we are planning to hold the annual Chicken Pie Supper as a take-out event on Saturday, October 31st. If you’d like to volunteer, please contact Elaine Hawthorne (firstname.lastname@example.org).
*****Food Pantry Donations - continuing its long-term role as a source of funds to support families in need in our community, the Women’s Fellowship has donated a total of $1,900 to local food pantries in the past several weeks. Contributions have been to the Lyme Food Pantry, the Lebanon Senior Center Meals on Wheels, and the Haven. The Fellowship is pleased to continue the church’s mission work and community outreach in this way.
*****Inclusiveness Goals - the group is considering changing its name to be gender-neutral and more inviting and inclusive. ALL are welcome to participate in this organization - from Hanover Center and from Etna/both men and women. The efforts primarily fundraising events to support the physical upkeep of the church, the electricity, and to families in need in our community. *The Search Committee has been busy interviewing candidates and trying to discern God's will for our church. Please continue to pray for the committee.
* Wednesday mornings prayer and conversation--bring your own coffee and donuts for a online chat with Pastor Roger. The weekly email has the zoom info.
* We have added a new chapter in our "Get to know" web page on Myrtle Rich--thanks to Ralph Puckett for a great interview. Myrtle has surgery and is rehad--keep her in your prayers.
* Our zoom worship is now using a new church zoom account and meeting number--and has a toll free option for the folks who dial in on their phones. The link was sent on the weekly email. Please note there may be a password required (included in the weekly email and ICC letter from June 20).
